Del Ballard Jr. is a former professional bowler from the United States. He was born on July 20, 1965, in Richardson, Texas. He is known for his success in the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Tour, where he won 13 titles, including two majors. He was inducted into the PBA Hall of Fame in 2011.
Ballard grew up in the sport, as his father, Del Ballard Sr., was also a professional bowler. He attended Midwestern State University before turning pro in 1986. His first professional victory came in 1987, in the Brunswick Memorial World Open.
In addition to his PBA success, Ballard was also a member of the United States team that won the gold medal in the Men's team event at the 1991 Pan American Games in Havana, Cuba.
After retiring from active professional bowling, Ballard became an expert analyst and commentator for CBS Sports Network's broadcasts of the PBA Tour events.
